Kyle has always been physically active, pursuing mountain biking, soccer, rugby, snowboarding and hiking. These pursuits helped him realize the importance of good biomechanics and general care for the body. This became his passion and led him to pursue yoga and meditation before attending the West Coast College of Massage Therapy.

In treatment Kyle approaches the body intuitively with a focus on fascial work, trigger point therapy and Swedish relaxation techniques.

Raegen graduated from Vancouver College of Massage Therapy in December, 2017 and became licensed in May of 2018 through the College of Massage Therapy of BC. She is inspired by the joy it brings her to help people thrive and loves that doing her best at her job helps her patients do their best at everything that matters to them.

Through her practice as an RMT she has gained a deep appreciation of the importance of working in collaboration with each patient to develop custom treatment plans that are creative and specific to their needs. Prioritizing relaxation as the main framework, Raegen blends various techniques, including Craniosacral, in order to engage the body’s parasympathetic nervous system aka ‘the rest and digest’ system. This facilitates the natural healing process to assist her clients in functioning at their optimal levels.

Using comprehensive assessment along with critical and creative thinking, Raegen enjoys the challenge of getting to the roots of the various issues that are presented. She meets each person where they are in order best facilitate each person’s own journey of health.

As a certified yoga instructor, she believes that properly modified yoga is a useful tool in the journey of wellness. She uses this knowledge to incorporate yoga poses as home practice, empowering her clients to reach their goals. Having a background in horticulture, she knows that humans and plants are not so different, that it takes commitment and patience to nurture health, life, and harmony.

With her two mischievous cats in tow, Raegen is excited to be living in the place that has always made her heart sing, right here in Victoria. When she’s not at the clinic you can be sure to find her exploring the great outdoors through camping, hiking, kayaking, and paddle boarding.

Massage therapy first entered Karen’s life through her passion and love of running. She became increasingly fascinated with the complex workings of the human body, growing a keen interest in why we experience common injuries, aches and pains, and how to prevent them from happening in the first place.

She believes Massage Therapy can be an extremely effective tool in reducing tension and pain, as well as restoring and maintaining optimal mobility so you can continue doing whatever it is you love to do.

She strives to discover the root of the problem and create an individualized treatment plan to best suit your current condition and needs. She also believes in educating clients with postural awareness, proper work place biomechanics, stretching and/or strengthening exercises to enhance your daily living.

Commonly used modalities include deep tissue and isolytic release, joint mobilizations, myofascial and muscle energy techniques.

To have established a career working with her hands and providing health care in the most natural state is something she finds extremely fulfilling and so grateful to have found.

Don’t see a time that works for you? Check our other schedule!  Karen works at both locations.

Wendy graduated with Honours in Massage Therapy in 2002 from the International Academy of Massage, located in Ottawa, Ontario. She began her career in Ottawa, where she gained experience working in chiropractic clinics, an award winning spa, and by building her own mobile massage therapy practice.

Since moving to Victoria, Wendy has continued to deepen her skills and experience working in spa and clinic settings. Wendy’s background in various spa settings has taught her the benefits of helping clients to relax first in order to provide safe and effective treatments, allowing her to manipulate the deeper layers of muscle tissue to achieve results. She uses a variety of techniques including Swedish techniques, Trigger Point Therapy, active and passive stretching and myofascial release techniques to address client concerns and improve function. The amount of pressure used is always within client comfort.

Wendy encourages her clients to continue with stretching and strengthening exercises at home and she is happy to discuss any health-related questions or concerns during treatment. She is passionate about helping clients achieve their health goals and would sincerely welcome you to her clinic practice

Ryan Aris graduated from the West Coast College of Massage Therapy in 2010.  With the vision of cultivating an outstanding collective of professional health care providers in order to offer the best care, Ryan opened Fix Healthcare Downtown in 2011 with co-owner Simon Pearson, and then Fix Healthcare Selkirk in 2015. As a owner and a practitioner, he is pleased to offer his expertise at both Fix locations.

Ryan’s lifelong commitment to a healthful lifestyle and personal journey to wellness allows him to easily relate to his patients and provide effective guidance, support, and treatment. His therapeutic approach focuses on myofascial release and deep tissue work. He treats a wide spectrum of conditions from sports-related injuries, chronic conditions, to general stress and tension. He knows from experience that with the right treatment, patients can recover and heal from imbalances, pain, and injury.

Fully invested in creating a comfortable, professional atmosphere for his clientele, staff, and team Ryan whole-heartedly wants to make it better and welcomes all walks of life to Fix.

* OCT 2018 – A note from Ryan:  With the growth of Fix, there have been an increasing volume of administrative tasks that I have been taking care of which has required a greater amount of my time and pulled me away from my clinical practice.   As of this fall, I’ve decided to step away from my clinical practice and focus on the administrative side of Fix.

I recognize that many of my clients have been seeing me for many years, and so this change definitely comes with a tinge of sadness that I won’t be able to continue seeing them.  I really value the relationships that we’ve built over the years and the trust that has been given me to be involved in caring for your health.  Going forward, if you choose stay with Fix and see one of our other great RMTs, I am more than happy to speak with them to relay your care over to make sure that this process is as smooth as possible for you.  I’m also happy to help you choose another therapist who will be a good fit for your needs.  If you would prefer to see an RMT not at Fix and would like some recommendations and/or dialogue with your new therapist, I am happy to help where I can so please just ask.  You can reach me through: fixhealthcarevictoria@gmail.com.

Yours in health,

Chris is a graduate of WCCMT Victoria’s August 2016 class. His journey towards massage therapy is rooted in a passion for seeing others grow, aiding with performance & recovery, and guiding his patients towards body awareness through movement. With this in mind, his approach to treatment comes from both holistic and structural points of view to meet individual patient needs and goals. Chris’ modalities include, but are not limited to: Swedish massage, deep tissue, myofascial & isolytic release, muscle energy, and joint mobilizations.

When not seeing patients, Chris spends his time studying music, hiking, performance training, and community building.

Please note: Some of Chris’ treatment techniques are completed clothed. For this reason, he prefers his patients to show up in athletic wear, shorts or a loose fit t-shirt for ease of movement
