Certified in Pilates mat and apparatus, Aahmes Deschutter has spent the last 25 years training in various movement modalities such as martial arts, athletics, calisthenics, bodybuilding, boxing, and inversions.

With his background spanning multiple disciplines, Aahmes approaches his Pilates and instructional training with the concept of developing and enhancing a stronger mind-body connection through utilizing core Pilates techniques such as breathwork, coordination, alignment, concentration, stamina, and more. He works with anyone and everyone who wants to use movement to better their everyday lives or individual training needs and find overall improvement of their physical and mental wellbeing.

Meghan Aris is certified in Pilates mat, Pilates apparatus, and several disciplines of yoga including restorative, yin, and hatha. Meghan provides an inviting, safe and exploratory atmosphere for students of any ability and is passionate about helping others on their path to self-discovery. She has worked on her own and in conjunction with physiotherapists aiding rehabilitation from spinal disc pathologies, hip and knee injuries, arthritis, scoliosis, and postnatal/prenatal care. She has also worked as teaching faculty for Pilates and yoga teacher training and is currently continuing her own studies of classical Pilates through the Pilates Center. She has taught Pilates and Yoga throughout Vancouver and Victoria for nearly a decade and is honoured to share the heart of these disciplines with her students.

  • What should I expect during my pilates session?

    We offer private instruction. Our instructors can work with you to set up a personalized exercise program for use in our studio during your private sessions or for ongoing at-home exercise. Exercises are easily modified on the equipment for all levels of fitness ability, and pilates is especially beneficial for those suffering from arthritis, scoliosis, osteoporosis, low back pain, or other movement dysfunction.
